Cancellation Policy

Let's get serious. Spend one or two nights a week with us at the Studio.

The Northwest Art Center makes every effort to meet the needs of its students. If you or your student is having difficulty in a class, we encourage you to meet with the instructor who may be able to provide additional support or direct the student to a class that better meets their individual needs. If you absolutely must cancel, please be aware of our cancellation policy:

Cancellation Policy

The Northwest Art Center reserves the right to cancel a class when enrollment minimums are not reached.  Cancellations are determined no later than 24 hours before the class starts. If the Art Center cancels a class, camp, workshop, the student will have the option to transfer to another class, as long as space is available, or receive a 100% refund.

For any Academic Year-Long Monthly Class:

We require 2 weeks’ written notice for Cancellation. *If you have paid for the entire academic year in advance and need to withdraw or cancel, please contact us and we will work with you around pro-rating a partial refund.

For Workshops and One Time Classes:

  • For classes $45 or less there are no refunds. However, if you contact us via email or phone 24 hours prior to the class start time, you may transfer the reservation to another class or place your reservation on hold for another class for one year. If no notification of cancellation occurs or a call is placed fewer than 24 hours before the class, you will forfeit your tuition.
  • For classes over $45 NWAC will refund your tuition paid, less a $30 cancellation fee if you cancel more than 7 days before the start date of a class. If you cancel seven days or less before the start date, you will forfeit your tuition. There are no refunds for no-shows or for withdrawals after a weekly class begins.
  • If you wish to switch to a different class, a $20 change fee will be charged if NWAC is notified 7+ days before the start of the session. If you wish to change sessions and there is no availability, you will forfeit your tuition.

Private Events:

    • Deposits required for private events are non-refundable if party is canceled less than 14 days in advance of party date. If party is canceled before 14 days, a refund will be given.

If you have a question about your balance, recent payment information, or need to cancel or withdraw, please contact us via email at and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please note that teachers and volunteers do not have access to financial records.
