COVID-19 Update – May

May 8, 2020

Thank you all for contributing to our various fundraisers over the last two months!

Your generous donations have touched our hearts and we are excited to be one step further towards saving the Northwest Art Center!  We are continuing to work towards keeping our space and rehiring our teachers.  We are working on various online activities and we are hoping to reopen our doors this fall when school restarts.

We are now able to invest in purchasing more supplies for our To-Go art kits and will be able to reopen our online store.  Purchasing items from our store will help us right now because it is our only source of revenue!  We are following all of the CDC guidelines for sanitation and protection for us and for you. Curbside pick up is the only option for the moment for any of your store purchases (or you can buy an art kit donation!).    Thank you for your help:

Our donations have also included notes to us, thank you so much!  Here are a few that we wanted to share with you:

“My husband and I feel so blessed, especially these days.  We have long been involved in giving to charity, and we always have a soft spot for the smaller organizations that make our area such a great place to live.  Places like the NW Art Center.  We are rooting for you to survive this crisis and we hope to see you in the future for a Brush and Brew class!”

“Our family loves the Art Center as do so many other families in our community. Thank you for all you and the teachers do to foster a healthy, creative outlet even in the midst of these challenging times!”

“The Art Center has been a part of my kids’ lives since 2013 and I want it to stay that way for them and for the community as a whole. My heart goes out to you and all the teachers during this time.”

In this time of stress and uncertainty, your gift brings hope for our community to recover and reconnect.

Gratefully yours –
